‘Les Buffardins’ is a group of friends who spent formative years with the pioneers of early music in the Low Countries: the Kuijken brothers, Anner Bijlsma, Gustav Leonhardt a.o. The ensemble was already hosted by AMUZ in 2011. Now they offer a new programme with focus on the French baroque giant Jean-Philippe Rameau.

The Pièces de clavecin en concerts, published in 1741, are Rameau’s only chamber music. These works appeared after his repertoire for harpsichord solo and immediately before Les Indes Galantes. Artistic manager Frank Theuns, well-known as a soloist with Anima Eterna, also selected for this concert music by Jean-Marie Leclair, Jean-Baptiste Forqueray and Pierre Gabriel Buffardin. From the latter the ensemble borrowed its name.

A lush buffet on Sunday
On six Sundays during the season 14|15 AMUZ serves a lush brunch at its unique foyer. The marvelous 19th-century winter chapel, decorated with wall paintings in neo-Byzantine style, offers a perfect environment for a copious buffet. The brunches at AMUZ start at 11:30 a.m. If you feel like it, you can take in the matinee concert afterwards.

When? Preceding the matinee concert by Les Buffardins, from 11:30 a.m. on.
Where? AMUZ foyer, Kammenstraat 81, 2000 Antwerpen.
A brunch consists of: welcome cava, fruit juice, coffee and tea| oven-fresh assortment of bread | selection of fine cheeses and cold cuts | sweet and salty sandwich filling | hot and cold seasonal dishes | choice of desserts.
Price: a brunch costs € 29 for those who attend the concert and € 36 if you don’t have or buy a ticket. Groups of minimally 8 persons pay only € 32 each. Children from 3 to 13 can eat their fill for half the price. Concert tickets are not included in the price.
Advance booking is imperative.

Dit is de aankondiging van het concert van Les Buffardins in AMUZ. Je kan genieten van een brunch voor het concert.  Het concert wordt door Klara opgenomen voor uitzending.

‘Les Buffardins’ is een groep bevriende musici die hun stiel leerden bij de pioniers van de oude muziek in de Lage Landen: de gebroeders Kuijken, Anner Bijlsma, Gustav Leonhardt e.a. Het ensemble was in 2011 al een keer te gast in AMUZ. Nu presenteren ze een nieuw programma rond de Franse barokgrootheid Jean-Philippe Rameau.

De Pièces de clavecin en concerts, gepubliceerd in 1741, is de enige kamermuziek van Rameau. De werken verschenen na zijn repertoire voor klavecimbel solo en net voor Les Indes Galantes. Artistiek leider Frank Theuns, die u kent als solist bij Anima Eterna, selecteerde voor dit concert ook muziek van Jean-Marie Leclair, Jean-Baptiste Forqueray en Pierre Gabriel Buffardin. Aan deze laatste ontleent het ensemble zijn naam.

Brunch
Een heerlijk buffet op zondagmiddag.  Eén van de zes zondagen met een heerlijke brunch
in de unieke foyer. De prachtige 19de eeuwse winterkapel, versierd met muurschilderingen in neobyzantijnse stijl, vormt het kader voor een rijkelijk buffet. De brunches in AMUZ starten om 11.30 uur. Wie wil, kan nadien het matineeconcert meepikken.

Locatie: AMUZ-foyer, Kammenstraat 81, 2000 Antwerpen.
Het buffet bestaat uit: verwelkomingscava, fruitsap, koffie en thee | ovenvers broodassortiment | selectie van fijne kazen en charcuterie | zoet en hartig beleg | warme en koude seizoensgerechten | Dessertenpallet.
Prijs: een brunch kost € 29 voor wie het concert bijwoont en € 36 voor wie geen concertticket heeft of koopt. Groepen van minimaal acht personen betalen slechts € 32 p.p. Kinderen van 3 tot 13 jaar eten mee voor de helft van de prijs. Concerttickets zijn niet inbegrepen in de prijs.
Vooraf reserveren noodzakelijk.
